Archery Frequently Asked Questions

What if I can not attend all all sessions of the program?

The 6-week Explore Archery Program is formatted in a way that each session introduces and/or builds on a previously taught skill, so it is best if you are able to attend all 6 sessions.  If you must miss a session due to a personal situation, we can not make up the missed lesson and there will be no refund because of your absence.  For our 1-hour Archery Programs (i.e. Try Archery, Fun & Games), you can reschedule to another session, as long as there is space in the session AND you let us know at least 24 hours in advance.

What if the Archery Program I want(ed) to sign up for is FULL?

If you register for a program/trip that has reached capacity or is sold out, you will be put on a waitlist or given the option to do so.  You will be notified as soon as space becomes available for the number of individuals you are registering. You will receive an email and/or a phone call if this happens.  You are also welcome to sign up for a session happening at a different time/location.

Is Archery safe?  Why do we have to complete a liability waiver?

Yes, our instructors maintain USA Archery and/or National Archery in the School Program (NASP) Certification and the #1 PRIORITY during archery lessons and programs is safety.  We care about everyone and have safety protocols and expectations that are reviewed at/during each session.  Despite being as safe as possible, there are sometimes issues that happen beyond our control, which is why we ask that each participant/caregiver complete a liability waiver for Let's Go Outdoors and/or a partner location, as indicated.

Are there minimum or maximum numbers for Archery Programs?

Yes, to ensure the most fun, engaging, and beneficial lesson(s), Let's Go Outdoors limits each session to a maximum of 10 Archers.  In this format, everyone participates the entire time and gets genuine, sincere feedback from instructor(s).  It is up to the discretion of the instructor if a minimum number of participants for an Archery Program will be required.  In general, we will run Archery Programs for 1 person to our maximum of 10.

What is the minimum age for participants in your Archery Program?
Our Archery Program(s) are, generally, for people age 8 and over.  We find that this age group has an easier ability to hold the equipment and grasp the concepts being taught.  If you have younger children that want to participate, you can participate in one of our "Try Archery" sessions and/or utilize a partner organization such as Callowhill Archery.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Cancellation by Archer, for any reason within 7 days of the start of a 6-Week Explore Archery Program will be refunded in full (minus a $10 fee).  If you cancel 3-7 days before the start of an Explore Archery session, you will receive a refund of 75%.  If you cancel less than 48 hours before the scheduled start of your Explore Archery Program, you will be refunded 50%.  If you cancel after the start of classes, there is no refund.  In the event that Let's Go Outdoors must cancel a 6-Week Explore Archery Program, you will be refunded 100% of your payment.  For cancellation/refunds, you must call 866-878-3595 OR email registration@letsgooutdoors.net.  For 1-Hour Try Archery or Fun & Games sessions, there is NO REFUND, but you can reschedule to another date/time.

If I can not attend, can another person come in my place?

Yes, you can transfer your Archery Program to another person - please email or call us with this information.  You MAY NOT have another person come for only a portion of your program (example: 1 or 2 classes, OR 30 minutes of a 1-hour session and then you attend).

What should I wear for my Archery sessions?

You should wear comfortable clothing that is not too loose along with closed toed shoes.  It is best to avoid anything that may hang or sag around your arms, waist, or face.  We don't want anything to get caught when you are pulling back on your bowstring.
