A BioBlitz is an event where you find and count as many kinds of plants and animals in a specific area over a short period of time. Families become “nature explorers” and team up with scientists and local experts in a 90-minute mini-bioblitz - a RACE to count as many plants and animals as you can! The end of our race will conclude with an art project and team fun sharing!
Join the Healing Ourselves Outdoors Together (HOOT) Team led by Temple University and Let’s Go Outdoors, for a mini BioBlitz event. Plan for creative fun, dress for the weather and wear sneakers.
Our Mini BioBlitz will be taking place in two locations (different dates/times):
- 1pm-4pm, Saturday, May 13th in Harrisburg, PA at Reservoir Park, 100 Concert Drive, Harrisburg, PA
- 10am-1pm, Saturday, June 17th in Philadelphia, PA at The Farm at Awbury Arboretum, 6336 Ardleigh Street, Philadelphia, PA
