LIVE (Online) Program - "Little Friends of the Wissahickon (LFOW)" Registration Form
- Incorporates reading, map identification and outdoor awareness
- Easily connects to your VIRTUAL classroom and/or home learning schedule
- Kids virtually explore nature and local waterways through story pictures and online maps
- Educators read "Good Night Wissahickon Valley Park," as a fun way to provide Park information
- Certificates of participation are provided to all kid participants
- ALSO, a FREE COPY of the book will be given to all children taking part in the program
Friends of the Wissahickon has partnered with Let's Go Outdoors to offer the "Little Friends of the Wissahickon (LFOW)" program for K-2nd graders enrolled in the School District of Philadelphia. This is a LIVE (online), FREE, reading of the story by an educator who will then play a trivia game with your child(ren) to earn a FREE Book Prize Pack (sent via postal mail). Teachers, parents and/or educators of K-2nd graders are invited to participate. A few highlights of the program:
